Welcome to PinFan (“we,” “us,” or “the app”). By downloading, accessing, or using the PinFan iOS application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.
1. Description of Service
PinFan is an independent companion app for pinball enthusiasts. The app enables users to browse a historical catalog of pinball machines, manage personal arcade collections and wishlists, log personal high scores, view playfield rulesheets, and discover nearby pinball venues. PinFan is provided for personal, non-commercial entertainment and informational use.
2. Intellectual Property & Trademarks
PinFan is an independent enthusiast project. All pinball machine titles, cabinet artwork, manufacturer logos, trademarks, and game designs referenced in the app are the property of their respective owners and manufacturers (including Stern Pinball, Williams Electronics, Bally Manufacturing, Gottlieb, Jersey Jack Pinball, Chicago Gaming Company, Spooky Pinball, and others).
Reference to any machine, manufacturer, trade name, or service mark does not constitute or imply endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation with PinFan.
3. Offline Storage & User Data
Your high scores, collection status (Owned / Wishlist), and personal machine notes are stored locally on your device. We do not maintain user accounts on external servers. You are solely responsible for retaining and backing up your device data (for example, via Apple iCloud device backups).
4. Third-Party Links & Content
PinFan may provide links to third-party resources including the Internet Pinball Database (IPDB), Pinside, and Pinball Map. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of external third-party websites or services.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
PinFan is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. While we strive for accuracy in machine ratings, years, and specifications, catalog information is compiled from community sources and may contain inaccuracies.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the app.
7. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of PinFan following the posting of changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
